Celebrating Health and Heritage: The Podar Nawalgarh Mini Marathon

The vibrant town of Nawalgarh, renowned for its painted havelis and rich cultural tapestry, recently played host to an event that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of community and wellness – the Podar Nawalgarh Mini Marathon. Organized by the esteemed The Anandilal Podar Trust, this event was not just a race but a celebration of life, energy, and the shared goal of a healthier Nawalgarh.

A Green Flag for Good Health

The marathon kicked off with Nawalgarh MLA Mr. Vikram Singh Jakhal, Trustee Ms. Vedica Podar, and Mr. Michael Rees, Second Secretary, Australian High Commission, New Delhi, hoisting the green flag at the historic Podar Haveli Museum. This symbolic gesture set the tone for a day that was as much about promoting health awareness as it was about fostering community bonds.

Runners of All Ages

With over 600 participants, the marathon saw an incredible turnout from various age groups. The event was divided into 2, 3, and 5-kilometer categories, ensuring that everyone from the young to the young-at-heart could partake in the joy of running. The scenic routes of Nawalgarh provided a picturesque backdrop as runners from ages 10 to 17, 18 to 45, and 46 and above found their stride.

Celebrating the Victorious

The end of the race was marked by a grand felicitation ceremony at Podar College, where winners were celebrated with cash prizes, trophies, and certificates. It was a moment of pride and joy as the community came together to honor the achievements of the runners. Trustee Ms. Vedica Podar took the opportunity to commend the winners and emphasize the importance of health awareness for a better future.
