To honor the 90th birth anniversary of the Late Shri Kantikumar R. Podar, the Podar College Alumni Association and Podar Educational Institutions jointly organized a voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Podar College, Nawalgarh. This meaningful initiative paid tribute to the revered former Chairman of the Podar Trust, whose life was dedicated to #education, healthcare, and social upliftment.
The event commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony and floral tributes to Goddess Saraswati and Shri Kantikumar R. Podar. It was graced by Mr. Vikram Singh Jakhal (MLA, Nawalgarh) as the Chief Guest, alongside notable dignitaries, including Smt. Harshini Kulhari (District Chief), Mr. Sharad Choudhary (D.I.G. Jhunjhunu), Mr. Surendra Saini (Municipality Chairman), Dr. Vedica Podar (Trustee), Dr. Kapur Thalor, and Mr. MD Shanbhag (Executive Director).
In his inspiring speech, Mr. Jakhal praised the Podar Trust for elevating Nawalgarh’s reputation across India through its education and community service contributions. He described the camp as a heartfelt tribute to a leader whose vision and values continue to inspire generations.
Smt. Harshini Kulhari emphasized the significance of such an initiative in celebrating a visionary life. At the same time, Mr. Sharad Choudhary acknowledged the enduring contributions of the Podar Institutions since the pre-independence era — establishing a legacy few in Rajasthan can match.
Dr. Vedica Podar reaffirmed the Podar Family’s commitment to driving educational excellence, employment opportunities, and social responsibility, walking the visionary path laid out by Shri. Kantikumar R. Podar.
Mr. Rajiv Podar, Chairman of the Podar Trust, congratulated everyone on the successful organization of the blood donation camp. He said the initiative beautifully reflects the values of Shri Kantikumar R. Podar, making it a meaningful tribute to his legacy.
According to Dr. Vinod kumar Saini (Director, PR & IP), a total of 90 units of blood were donated during the camp. The collections were facilitated by Mittal Blood Bank (Sikar) and Hari Hospital Blood Bank (Nawalgarh).
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, alumni, NCC and NSS cadets, and the public. Among the key contributors were Mr. Ravindra Purohit (President, Alumni Association), Mr. Kailash Chautia, Mr. Shrikant Murarka, Dr. Dayasankar Jangir, Dr. Rajesh Yadav, Major D. P. Sharma, Mr. Mahesh Mishra, Mr. Murli Manohar Chaubdar, Mr. Rohit Sotwara (Sarpanch), Mr. Gautam Khandelwal, Mr. Sunil Samra, and several others.
The camp was meticulously coordinated by Prof. Pramod Kumar Saini and Prof. Ramesh Pareek, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the blood donors, volunteers, and community members who made this event a resounding success.
